Castell d’Olerdola Brut Reserva, Cava – Catalonia, Spain
The nose has hints of hazelnut and buttered toast and the palate is dry with a subtle honeyed edge. Rich, dry and full flavoured with a lemony hint on the finish.
Castell d’Olerdola Brut Rosado, Cava – Catalonia, Spain
A beautiful salmon pink in the glass and the nose has aromas of brioche, crushed strawberry and cranberry. Its dry in the mouth but with a summer berry twist and a toasty edge to the finish.
Pol Roger Brut Réserve NV
Rich nose, deep and opulent – there is cream, tropical fruit, brioche and toasty vanilla notes – great elegance and a fine finish.
Viura, Pleno – Navarra, Spain
Aromas of green apple, pear and citrus that lead to a dry, fresh and light palate.
Rioja Blanco, Vega – Rioja, Spain
The nose has aromas of conference pear, white flowers and some limey notes. Fresh, clean and crisp in the mouth with good length and balance. A simple, easy drinking wine.
Basa, Telmo Rodriguez – Rueda, Spain
An abundance of citrus and stoned fruits on the nose lead to a dry and elegant palate. The finish gives more lemony and green apple flavours and is highly refreshing.
Godello ‘Gabo do Xil’, Telmo Rodriguez – Valdeorras, Spain
Godello gives lovely bright, stoned fruit flavours and although its dry it has a touch of peachy aromatics and a subtle creamy texture, reminiscent of Chablis. Excellent length and balance, this is a must try.
Chardonnay, Príncipe de Viana – Navarra, Spain
Aromas of topical fruits including melon, mango, pineapple and in particular, banana. The palate has some creaminess from the oak but its not over powering and the finish is very fruit driven.
Albariño, Alba Vega – Rias Baixas, Spain
Clean and fresh with delicate citrus notes on the nose and a palate packed with green apple, orange peel and lime flavours. Its a simple wine that is perfect for the BBQ.
Garnacha Rose, Pleno – Navarra, Spain
Made from Garnacha this is a great fruit driven, easy drinking rose. The nose has aromas of strawberry, raspberry and redcurrant. There is a subtle creamy edge on the palate and its very well balanced and offers terrific value.
Rioja Rosé, Bodegas Bagordi – Rioja, Spain
Pale pink in colour with a purplish hue. A nose of fresh strawberries and white flowers with a fresh and refreshing mouthfeel.
Tempranillo, Pleno – Navarra, Spain
Made from 100% Tempranillo, the Pleno has aromas of cassis and mulberry. The palate is soft and well rounded and is smooth and medium to light bodied on the finish. A great party wine.
Cabernet/Tempranillo/Merlot, Albret – Navarra, Spain
On the nose there is aromas of blackcurrant, raspberry and a touch of cedar from the oak. The palate is medium bodied with more hedgerow fruits. The finish is soft and juicy and very smooth.
Old Vines Garnacha, Príncipe de Viana – Navarra, Spain
With this example you get lots of crushed strawberry and raspberry flavours but also a hint of white pepper spice. Its medium bodied with lots of jammy fruit flavours on the finish.
Rioja Tempranillo, Vega – Rioja, Spain
Bright ruby red, dark and elegant – the nose is forward, developed and mildly jammy, offering notes of boiled red and black fruits, spice and leather.
Monastrell, Syrah, Petit Verdot ‘Goru’, Ego Bodegas Jumilla, Spain
It has a lovely lifted aroma of fresh berry fruits, raspberry and cherry in particular. The palate is full in flavour but not to powerful and has wonderful mouthfeel and texture. Notes of sweeter fruits come through on the finish and its a very satisfying wine.
Mencia ‘Gaba do Xil’, Telmo Rodriguez – Valdeorras, Spain
The palate is soft and supple with redcurrant, cranberry and a very delicate vanilla edge. Fresh and elegant this is a wonderfully balanced red.
Rioja Crianza, Bodegas Muerza – Rioja, Spain
If you appreciate the structure of Cabernet Sauvignon and the fruitiness of Grenache then you will find a great replacement with this wine] A bright, fruit driven Rioja with notes of cherry and cassis and a soft vanilla edge from the oak. Smooth, soft and fruit driven.
Late Harvest Chardonnay, Príncipe de Viana – Navarra, Spain
100% Chardonnay. Intense gold straw colour. Deeply complex with notes of tinned pineapple, apricot, quince, orange peel and rosemary honey. Notes of vanilla, recently toasted almonds and dried figs.
Moscatel, Telmo Rodriguez – Malaga, Spain
This Moscatel has lovely citrus aromas with notes of orange peel, tinned peach and apricot. Whilst it remains very sweet it is clean and well balanced with good acidity.
Gutierrez Colosia Fino Puerto – Jerez, Spain
A pale golden fino sherry, the Fino del Puerto is aged for at least three years under floor producing a crisp and dry wine with a hint of almond to the nose.
Gutierrez Colosia Amontillado Del Puerto – Jerez, Spain
A classic Amontillado that shows all of the characteristics of an old wine. If you like your Sherry to be rich, nutty and have a sweet touch of sticky caramel at its core, then you’ll be a fan of this big-bodied Amontillado from the Colosia range.
Gutierrez Colosia Moscatel Soleado – Jerez, Spain
Gutierrez Colosia Moscatel is a sweet dessert Sherry wine made from raisined grapes using the traditional “Pasil” method, whereby the Moscatel grapes are semi-dried on sand pits to concentrate their natural sugar content.
